MRKTSEARCH has been retained by our client, a third generation family business, founded over 60 years ago and led by a senior management team with a genuine respect for their employees, some of whom have been with the company for over 30 years.
Growing consistently in reflection of their high quality output and personal service the business is now in a position to add a commercial and strategic marketer to the team who will additionally work to develop the export dealer network for their main line of products, aided by a highly skilled export consultant, and alongside their Sales Manager.
If you are a commercial marketer who enjoys being at the heart of the growth of a business, this is a well balanced role which will develop your understanding of export markets and buying traits of high ticket capital items whilst honing your B2B marketing strategy skills.
A 360 commercial role this person will take full ownership of the entire marketing strategy across digital and traditional channels - aided by external suppliers through graphics, web, print media and video.
The ideal individual will have a vision for the development of the brand and will engage with export dealers to understand their requirements from the business, feeding back to the company and assisting in tailoring appropriate offerings.
Internal marketing functions will predominantly focus on creating compelling and informative content on relevant B2B platforms including socials and blog form copy for trade/web.
As a B2B machinery company the focus is placed on creating interesting and quality, thought leadership content e.g., the ecosystem of machines and what they’re helping to do/ or how efficiencies are assisting development rather than typical volume social posting.
Working alongside an export specialist you’ll be provided leads from qualified dealers in 6 key markets and take responsibility for understanding these account requirements, marketing needs and converting commercial opportunities within.
The appointed individual will additionally focus on preparing commercial reports containing relevant information on quotations, competitor analysis, marketing initiatives, leads and business development.
Estimated 5 years in a commercial role.
Demonstrable B2B marketing skills, including LinkedIn & content creation to convey specialist business knowledge & build brand awareness.
Evidence of working with end user clients and willingness to travel to export markets - estimated one foreign trip per month.
Strong logical mind with an interest in mechanical engineering processes.
Salary estimated at £40 - £50k depending on the level of expertise in the area required.

Hybrid working arrangements - 1 day a week after induction and before probation and 2 following.
